| Stuart Reese
Stuart Reese's career has spanned more than 25 years in the fields of Non-Profit
Management and Advocacy, Public Affairs, Public Policy, Social Marketing, Public
Relations, Marketing, Advertising, Communications and Audio/Video Production.
As Executive Director of the Institute for America's Health (IAH) for the past
three years, the majority of Stuart's time and professional energies have been devoted
to the issues surrounding the prevention of childhood obesity/overweight and diabetes
through school and community based initiatives and interventions. During that
time Stuart has also done advocacy and public policy work on both the Federal
and State levels on children's health issues. Stuart has spearheaded IAH's research
that is responsible for developing a "Best Practices" Coordinated School Health model
titled "Healthy School Solutions- Model School Wellness." These efforts are focused
on increasing student's physical activity and improving nutrition in the school and
home settings with the overarching goal of enhancing overall student performance.
Prior to this work Stuart was involved in tobacco prevention and control efforts
throughout the country.
SCR has won numerous awards for his endeavors in these fields. Among them are multiple
ADDY Awards for Excellence in Advertising, A Golden Image Award for Outstanding
Professional Achievement in Public Relations and an EMMY Award for Excellence in
Production of a Public Service/Awareness campaign as well as several Public Service
Volunteer awards.
