d&a is a small firm, with Dewey Caruthers as the central senior strategist. d&a brings together collaborators with national expertise specific to the issue (tobacco or obesity) for its social marketing work – for instance, there are certain collaborators d&a works with in obesity, and others on tobacco. d&a regularly brings together is associates and leads the collaboration to produce measurable outcomes evident in formal, independent evaluations.
d&a is a non-traditional collaborative approach of specialists, as opposed to a large firm full of generalists. The firm does not (nor will it ever) define its success by its size, rather success is defined by the measurable outcomes of its projects.
